Dungeon Master, Adventurers League Organizer
& Freelance Game Master for hire

I'm Moises Gomez, a Dungeon Master, storyteller, and community organizer specializing in dark, atmospheric adventures where horror, consequence, and player agency take center stage. My games aren’t built for casual sightseeing. They’re steeped in dread, tension, and the unknown—worlds where morality blurs, survival isn’t guaranteed, and clever thinking is often your only lifeline. Whether it’s a brutal combat encounter or a moment of quiet, creeping dread, I aim to keep players engaged, unsettled, and fully immersed.I currently run Nocturne of the Damned, a gothic horror anthology campaign hosted at Geeky Teas & Games in Burbank. The series weaves classic horror with original lore, player-driven arcs, and escalating supernatural threats across multiple chapters.I also help run and organize Dungeons & Dragons Adventurers League at Odyssey Games in Pasadena, supporting structured public play and welcoming new players into the hobby through weekly events. My table emphasizes:

  • Immersive worldbuilding rooted in fear, tension, and consequence

  • Challenging, tactical combat where death is always on the table

  • Collaborative roleplay and character-driven narrative arcs

  • A fair but unforgiving DM style—actions matter, and outcomes are earned

If you're looking for a lighthearted romp, this may not be your table. But if you thrive on tension, drama, and danger—you’ll feel right at home.LGBTQ+ AllyI am also very fond of cheese.

Player Testimonials

“If you're looking for a lighthearted romp through a whimsical fantasy world... keep walking. But if you crave a Dungeons & Dragons experience steeped in dread, supernatural tension, and no guarantee of survival, Moises is your Dungeon Master. He masterfully crafts darker game settings where horror and the unknown are central themes. The atmosphere is thick with unease, the storylines are layered with moral ambiguity, and danger lurks in every shadow. Combat is ruthless, punishing, and thrilling. Yet, despite the challenge, he plays a fair game. The rules are consistent, and clever thinking is always rewarded. He brings a seriousness to the table that keeps players on edge in the best way. If you enjoy high-stakes horror with a skilled and unforgiving hand behind the screen, he delivers an unforgettable experience.” — Trent

“I met Moises at my second session of AL and have been a regular at his table ever since. His games always come with challenge, and death is always on the table. If you engage tactically with the veritable swarms of horrors that will beset you, and (more importantly) listen to and encourage your fellow players, you just might emerge victorious… if only by the skin of your teeth.Even if horror isn’t your preferred genre—in truth, it isn’t mine—I encourage you to give Moises’ table a try. Perhaps you, too, will find yourself unable to resist the urge to foray further into the darkness, pursuing that "dying glimmer of light.” — Lucas

“Always prepared, always engaging, Moises brought a year-long Curse of Strahd campaign to life for an eight-member party. He told the story and managed the table in a way that was sensitive to the personalities of both the players and their characters. He ensured that everyone was heard, used creative NPC dialogue to draw them in emotionally, and tailored the story to their characters' motives. His favorite quote: "Are you not entertained?” — Scott

“I really enjoy the atmosphere and focus on worldbuilding you set at the table—it allows me to stay engaged (especially as someone with ADHD). Combat is run efficiently and provides a challenge. There’s a big focus on team participation: letting everyone get their moment, but also handling lone-wolf behavior that detracts from others' enjoyment. You encourage players to enjoy their characters in the way that suits them best.” — Matt
